2  Blessed be the name of YHWH from this time forth and for ever.

3  From the rising of the sun unto the going down thereof YHWH'S name is to be praised.

4  YHWH is high above all nations, His glory is above the heavens.

114:4  The mountains skipped like rams, the hills like young sheep.

114:6  Ye mountains, that ye skip like rams; ye hills, like young sheep?

114:7  Tremble, thou earth, at the presence of YHWH, at the presence of the God of Jacob;

7  Before the face of the Lord, the earth was moved, before the face of the God of Jacob.

114:8  Who turned the rock into a pool of water, the flint into a fountain of waters.

8  He converted the rock into pools of water, and the cliff into fountains of waters.

115:1  Not unto us, O YHWH, not unto us, but unto Thy name give glory, for Thy mercy, and for Thy truth's sake.

1  Not to us, O Lord, not to us, but to thy name give glory, because of thy mercy and thy truth;

115:2  Wherefore should the nations say: 'Where is now their God?'

2  lest at any time the nations should say, Where is their God?

2  Give glory to your mercy and your truth, lest the Gentiles should say, “Where is their God?”

115:3  But our God is in the heavens; whatsoever pleased Him He hath done.

115:4  Their idols are silver and gold, the work of men's hands.

4  The idols of the nations are silver and gold, the works of men’s hands.

115:5  They have mouths, but they speak not; eyes have they, but they see not;

115:6  They have ears, but they hear not; noses have they, but they smell not;

115:7  They have hands, but they handle not; feet have they, but they walk not; neither speak they with their throat.

115:8  They that make them shall be like unto them; yea, every one that trusteth in them.

8  Let those that make them become like to them, and all who trust in them.

115:9  O Israel, trust thou in YHWH! He is their help and their shield!

9  The house of Israel trusts in the Lord: he is their helper and defender.

115:10  O house of Aaron, trust ye in YHWH! He is their help and their shield!

115:11  Ye that fear YHWH, trust in the YHWH! He is their help and their shield.

11  They that fear the Lord trust in the Lord: he is their helper and defender.

115:12  YHWH hath been mindful of us, He will bless--He will bless the house of Israel; He will bless the house of Aaron.

12  The Lord has remembered us, and blessed us: he has blessed the house of Israel, he has blessed the house of Aaron.

12  The LORD has been mindful of us; he will bless us; he will bless the house of Israel; he will bless the house of Aaron.

115:13  He will bless them that fear YHWH, both small and great.

13  He has blessed them that fear the Lord, both small and great.

13  The LORD will bless them that worship him, both small and great.

115:14  YHWH increase you more and more, you and your children.

14  The Lord add blessings to you and to your children.

14  May the Lord add blessings upon you: upon you, and upon your sons.

115:15  Blessed be ye of YHWH who made heaven and earth.

15  Blessed are ye of the Lord, who made the heaven and the earth.

115:16  The heavens are the heavens of YHWH; but the earth hath He given to the children of men.

16  The heaven of heavens belongs to the Lord: but he has given the earth to the sons of men.

115:17  The dead praise not YHWH, neither any that go down into silence;

17  The dead shall not praise thee, O Lord, nor any that go down to Hades.

17  The dead will not praise you, Lord, and neither will all those who descend into Hell.

115:18  But we will bless YHWH from this time forth and for ever. Hallelujah.

18  But we, the living, will bless the Lord, from henceforth and for ever.

18  But we who live will bless the Lord, from this time forward, and even forever.

116:1  I love that YHWH should hear my voice and my supplications.

1  I am well pleased, because the Lord will hearken to the voice of my supplication.

116:2  Because He hath inclined His ear unto me, therefore will I call upon Him all my days.

2  For he has inclined his ear to me. And in my days, I will call upon him.

116:3  The cords of death compassed me, and the straits of the nether-world got hold upon me; I found trouble and sorrow.

3  The sorrows of death have surrounded me, and the perils of Hell have found me. I have found tribulation and sorrow.

116:4  But I called upon the name of YHWH: 'I beseech thee, O YHWH, deliver my soul.'

116:5  Gracious is YHWH, and righteous; yea, our God is compassionate.

116:6  YHWH preserveth the simple; I was brought low, and He saved me.

116:7  Return, O my soul, unto Thy rest; for YHWH hath dealt bountifully with thee.

7  Turn again, my soul, to your rest. For the Lord has done good to you.

116:8  For thou hast delivered my soul from death, mine eyes from tears, and my feet from stumbling.

8  For he has rescued my soul from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from slipping.

116:9  I shall walk before YHWH in the lands of the living.

116:10  I trusted even when I spoke: 'I am greatly afflicted.'

11  And I said in mine amazement, Every man is a liar.

116:12  How can I repay unto YHWH all His bountiful dealings toward me?

12  What shall I render to the Lord for all the things wherein he has rewarded me?

116:13  I will lift up the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of YHWH.

13  I will take the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of the Lord.

116:14  My vows will I pay unto YHWH, yea, in the presence of all His people.

14  I will repay my vows to the Lord, in the sight of all his people.

116:15  Precious in the sight of YHWH is the death of His saints.

116:16  I beseech Thee, O YHWH, for I am Thy servant; I am Thy servant, the son of Thy handmaid; Thou hast loosed my bands.

16  O Lord, I am thy servant; I am thy servant, and the son of thine handmaid: thou hast burst by bonds asunder.

16  O Lord, because I am your servant, your servant and the son of your handmaid, you have broken my bonds.

116:17  I will offer to thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call upon the name of YHWH.

17  I will sacrifice to you the sacrifice of praise, and I will invoke the name of the Lord.

116:18  I will pay my vows unto YHWH, yea, in the presence of all His people;

18  I will repay my vows to the Lord in the sight of all his people,

116:19  In the courts of YHWH'S house, in the midst of thee, O Jerusalem. Hallelujah.

117:1  O praise YHWH, all ye nations; laud Him, all ye peoples.

117:2  For His mercy is great toward us; and the truth of YHWH endureth for ever. Hallelujah.

118:6  YHWH is for me; I will not fear; what can man do unto me?

6  The Lord is my helper; and I will not fear what man shall do to me.

118:7  YHWH is for me as my helper; and I shall gaze upon them that hate me.

118:8  It is better to take refuge in YHWH than to trust in man.

9  It is good to hope in the Lord, rather than to hope in leaders.

118:10  All nations compass me about; verily, in the name of YHWH I will cut them off.

10  All the nations have surrounded me. And, in the name of the Lord, I have been avenged over them.

118:13  Thou didst thrust sore at me that I might fall; but YHWH helped me.

13  Having been pushed, I was overturned so as to fall. But the Lord took me up.

13  I have been repelled that I might be overthrown and fall; but the LORD helped me.

118:14  YHWH is my strength and song; and He is become my salvation.

14  The Lord is my strength and my song, and is become my salvation.

118:15  The voice of rejoicing and salvation is in the tents of the righteous; the right hand of YHWH doeth valiantly.

15  A voice of exultation and salvation is in the tabernacles of the just.

118:16  The right hand of YHWH is exalted; the right hand of the YHWH doeth valiantly.

16  The right hand of the Lord has wrought virtue. The right hand of the Lord has exalted me. The right hand of the Lord has wrought virtue.

118:17  I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of YHWH.

17  I will not die, but I will live. And I will declare the works of the Lord.

118:18  YHWH hath chastened me sore; but He hath not given me over unto death.

18  The Lord has chastened me sore: but he has not given me up to death.

18  When chastising, the Lord chastised me. But he has not delivered me over to death.

118:19  Open to me the gates of righteousness; I will enter into them, I will give thanks unto YHWH.

19  Open the gates of justice to me. I will enter them, and I will confess to the Lord.

118:20  This is the gate of YHWH; the righteous shall enter into it.

118:21  I will give thanks unto Thee, for Thou hast answered me, and art become my salvation.

21  I will confess to you because you have heard me. And you have become my salvation.

118:22  The stone which the builders rejected is become the chief corner-stone.

118:23  This is YHWH'S doing; it is marvellous in our eyes.

23  This has been done of the Lord; and it is wonderful in our eyes.

23  By the Lord has this been done, and it is a wonder before our eyes.

118:24  This is the day which YHWH hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.

118:25  We beseech Thee, O YHWH, save now! We beseech Thee, O LORD, make us now to prosper!

25  O Lord, save now: O Lord, send now prosperity.

25  Save me, O LORD; O LORD, deliver me.

118:26  Blessed be he that cometh in the name of YHWH; we bless you out of the house of the YHWH.

26  Blessed is he that comes in the name of the Lord: we have blessed you out of the house of the Lord.

118:27  YHWH is God, and hath given us light; order the festival procession with boughs, even unto the horns of the altar.

27  The Lord is God, and he has enlightened us. Establish a solemn day amid a dense crowd, even to the horn of the altar.

118:28  Thou art my God, and I will give thanks unto Thee; Thou art my God, I will exalt Thee.

28  Thou art my God, and I will give thee thanks: thou art my God, and I will exalt thee. I will give thanks to thee, for thou hast heard me, and art become my salvation.

28  You are my God, and I will confess to you. You are my God, and I will exalt you. I will confess to you, for you have heeded me. And you have become my salvation.

118:29  O give thanks unto YHWH, for He is good, for His mercy endureth for ever.
